Chocolate Fondue
1/2 cup butter
180g dark chocolate
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup (plus 2 tablespoons) orange liqueur
plain cake. cut into 2.5cm cubes
bananas, cut into chunks
fresh fruit (apples, pears, cherries, peaches, pineapple, strawberries)
marshmallows

In saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Add sugar, milk and salt. Bring to the boil, cook over medium heat at a slow rolling boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes until thickened. Cover and refrigerate until needed. When ready, heat chocolate sauce in microwave 20-23 seconds. Add liqueur, stir to combine thoroughly. Serve immediately with fruit and cake. A tablespoon or two of your favourite liqueur may be added. Try Tia Maria, Irish Cream or Grand Marnier or a little rum. Or add a few drops of peppermint essence, or a few chopped almonds.

For Two: Pour one cup warm chocolate sauce into dessert fondue pot and place over burner. On a dinner plate, attractively arrange cake cubes, bananas, fresh fruit, and marshmallows.
