Wash them well, halve, place in an over safe fry pan, add some butter ( it's hard to add too much) and some olive oil, a bit of garlic powder, sprinkle with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper, sprinkle with some dried herbs....oregano, basil...perhaps thyme or sage....whatever...
Place in a 375 oven for 50 minutes and turn the potatoes every 15 minutes.

I'd boil them with the skins on until barely done and chill overnight. Next day, peel, wrap each in 1/2 slice of bacon and thread on skewers. Grill over medium heat until bacon is done, brushing with your favorite BBQ sauce.

We usually have these as a main course, along with fresh corn and sliced tomatoes with chopped mint or basil.

NEW POTATOES WITH LEMON HORSERADISH (serves 4-6)
1-2 lbs new potatoes, unpeeled
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 TBL prepared horseradish
2 TBL chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 350°. Peel a 1/2" wide strip from around the center of each potato (or if the potatoes are larger, cut into uniform size). Melt the butter in a 2 qt baking dish. Add the salt, pepper, lemon juice & horseradish. Add the potatoes to themixture & stir until well coated. Cover & bake 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
