I have been putting all of my recipes on cards and laminating them. I bought the laminator and film on ebay. It was an investment, but I have used it for other things, including things for my husband's work and our church. I have seen laminating film that does not require a laminator, but I think you get less neat looking results with it -more bubbles and wrinkles and such. The press pushes all of the bubbles out and heats the adhesive.

As a less expensive alternative, I would recommend getting heavy-duty sheet protectors at your local office supply store and keeping your recipes organized in a three-ring binder. :)

One thing to consider: If you laminate the pages it's all but impossible for the user to record changes and adaptations.

The sheet protectors are a better idea that laminating, for that reason. They provide almost the same level of protection, but the text can be amended if necessary.
