I just read the thread for 1937 Norge recipes, which compelled me to request norwegian recipes. Norge means Norway in Norwegian...

I lived there when I was 16, 20 years ago. I learned how to make marzipan and erte soup, etc. If any of you have some Norwegian recipes (either handed down or just ones that you have come across) I sure would appreciate seeing them. It's hard to find Norwegian recipes even online.

There are two that I really wish I could find. The first is for a bread and I THINK it was called, farmbakt brod. Meaning farm baked bread. It had the most wonderful flavor and seemed to have been rolled in some sort of flaky grain before baking. It was a whole grain type bread.

The second is chocolate pudding. But their's was firm. Almost a cross between pudding and jello. It was poured into a bundt pan, cooled, then sliced and served with "vanilla sauce". YUM

But, any kind of Norwegian recipe would be appreciated.
