RECIPE: Raised Glazed donuts

I have found a recipe for raised donuts but have yet to come across a glaze recipe. Could anyone offer one? Also, how do you get your donuts into the oil without them collapsing? Mine raised up so nicely, and then when I tried to pick them up for frying they fell, as though they had not raised at all. Thank you Carmellia

I had an aunt that used to make the most wonderful glazed doughnuts. I never got her recipe but the one in the cookbook my Mom always used says to put the side that raised down in the fat. (So the top goes in the fat first.) The heat will cause the top side to rise by the time the doughnut is ready to turn. They might puff back up if your oil is hot enough.
