Your post does not mention if you have additional storage needs but with pedestal sinks, more is often necessary. Here is what we have above one of ours, a train rack for towels with a small framed print below.

I'm also linking our Powder Room. In it, we actually cut a niche into a wall space.

I also have a train rack in mine as well, looks good. You can buy one at RH for $165.00 or a smaller version at Bed bath & Beyond for $25.00.

i do like that train rack, but i have plenty of storage. i actually have a linen closet in there. it is only a half bath.

    your bathroom looks beautiful!

do you think it would be overkill if i added a train rack with all of the existing storage? also, where on BB and beyond is the train rack that you speak of?

    thanks!

If you have a lot of storage it might be too much. I was talking about the store Bed Bath & Beyond. They have them in every city across America. I bought mine at the store and not out of the catalog.

I would not add a train rack if you have plenty of storage. I would put a nice painting or two small paintings and then hang a pretty window treatment.

i like the painting area. i have 2 "bathroom" paintings from c. winterle olson. both are vertical and skinny much like these 2 in the link below. should i paint the frames white or a silver color?

How about a wall vase filled with greenery that cascades down a bit? It would be a way to add some softness to the room.

A vote for the heavy silver shelves filled with fluffy white towels! Very pretty and very handy too!

Also -- a basic white wood wall shelf unit with baskets on one shelf -- and rolled towels is handy too.

Love the idea of black-and-white photos -- matted in fresh white with black or silver frames. You could even take fun photos of vacations or family or friends or pets!

I think your two prints in the silver frames would be ideal over the toilet. You might want to use tape up paper templates to outline where you want them before you start putting holes in the wall, or use those Command velcro-type hangers for no holes at all. It looks like they could be hung side by side.

i have about 37 1/2 inches to play with from the mirror to the wall. i will look into a wall vase to get a better idea as to what they look like. the prints are in frame that is a silvery gold an are about 16 1/4 x 10.

since my wife and i went to hawaii for our honemoon 5 years ago, i was considering maybe getting a vintage hawaii art advertisement.

    sort of like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/HAWAII-TRAVEL-POSTER-Vintage-Hawaiian-Matted-Art-Print-/290301994100?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Art_Prints&hash=item439758e474

    or this

i was thinking maybe a small sahadow box to hang on the wall as well with some Hawaii souveniers we have or something?

I think the pictures you have would look nice side by side. Can you do a mock up with newspaper or posterboard? Posterboard is a dear friend of mine. :)

I will try to do a mockup tonight or tomorrow and take a picture to post and see what everyone thinks as well. do you think 3 things on that one wall will be to cluttered?

i did a quick mock up and took a few pics. in the last photo there is a space to the left of the mirror. any suggestions to fill that void?

FYI: the paper is the same size as the frames.

any suggestions for something on the wall to the left of the mirror where the light switches are? i was thinking a 6 x6 framed picture or 12 x 12 frames pic.

    thanks!

My friend loves putting black contact paper designs all over his bathroom. I believe he laminates it onto the walls, too. Not too sure though. He has some amazing designs. He runs a store online. You should check it out for some design ideas. He's wild.

Sorry, I somehow missed this. Beside the mirror I'd try and find something that relates/ties into the other pictures. I guess that's not very specific help. Maybe a botanical print?

Did you hang the other two photos yet? It looks like there's a good bit of space between the pictures and toilet. How does it look if you lowered them a bit? Maybe you could add a shelf something above it? I'm having a hard time picturing the whole area there.

    Mason spamming isn't allowed here.

i did hang them and i did lower them. they look great, better than i envisioned. on my opposite wall that is usually hidden behind an open door, i hung this picture (8x10) in an unmatted 8x10 silver frame ("Pompeii" from Michael's).

We didn't need more storage either so here's what we put:

i like the idea of a sconce on the left side of the mirror. i will keep my eyes peeled for one and take some pics to get your opinions.

    thanks!

fnmroberts - I'm pretty sure I've asked you about your bathroom color before, but I can't figure out where I saved the information. Can you tell me the color again? Thanks!

    Laurie

fnmroberts - Never mind on the paint color. I found it on your website and I realized I probably didn't save it before because it's C2 paint and I don't know where to get that around here. I saved it this time, so that I don't ask you again and maybe I can match it up to a BM or SW color.
