I looked in the Norwegian cookbooks that I have and can't find anything at all that resembles it. I emailed to our Norwegian cousins in Norway to see if they know what it is.

Funny, when we were in Norway we only had savory items for breakfast - meat, pate and cheese on different breads, never anything sweet or sugary. But, I suppose that's just a family custom.

It could have been something she made on her own I guess. That's the one thing I wish I had back, to be older than I was and to have taken a interest in her cooking more. I did learn to make some of the cookies like rosettes and sandbakkels. I can't get fattamins thin enough. THey come out like a cardboard box. They lived in Bosque Co. in Texas near Waco. Small town called Clifton. Had a large Norwegian population at one point. THink they still have a Festival there yearly too. Thanks for looking....
