Holiday greetings to all! I've been on a baking spree, but have not been able to come close to the yeast rolls served by Hartz Chicken (a chicken chain in Texas.) Hartz rolls are soft, chewey, slightly sweet - not crusty at all. Taste great with nothing on them (ok, ok, maybe melted butter.)

There are literally hundreds of "yeast roll" and "soft roll" recipes on the Internet, all very different from one another.

If anyone is familiar with Hartz rolls and knows a recipe that comes close, I (and my husband, his family, my family, most Houstonians...) would be very grateful!
