PARTY SHRIMP SPREAD

2 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
1 cup cocktail sauce
1 ½ cup cooked baby shrimp
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1/3 cup sliced ripe olives
1/3 cup diced fresh tomatoes, drained
1/ 2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

On a pizza pan or large, flat round tray, spread the cream cheese evenly. Spread the cocktail sauce on top. Sprinkle the shrimp, green onions, green pepper, olives and tomatoes onto the cocktail sauce. Distribute the Parmesan cheese evenly over all the other ingredients so it looks like a pizza. Cover and chill until serving time. Serve as a spread with crackers.

My (now mostly grown) kids always liked this best:

1 pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ketshup
1 Tablespoon horseradish
1/2 tin tiny shrimp, drained

Mix the horseradish and ketshup together (or you can used 1/2 cup prepared coctail sauce.) Spoon sauce over softened cheese and top with shrinp. Serve with an assortment of crackers.

the first two are hot spreads and crab or shrimp work great!

The FrugÂs Hot Crab Dip

Blend together:
6 oz package of cream cheese
2/3 C mayo
3 drops of Tabasco
½ C of crab meat

Bake at 350 degrees until bubblyÂabout 15 or 20 minutes

Downeast Crab Dip

Mix together:
8 oz of cream cheese
8 oz crabmeat
a dash of Worcestershire sauce
sliced almonds

Put the above into a small casserole dish and bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes

and this is a cold one a friend of mine gave me. good stuff!

BarbÂs Shrimp Dip

1 pkg. of cream cheese - softened
½ # of small shrimp
some finely diced onions or scallions
1 clove of very finely diced garlic
salt
pepper
lemon juice (to taste, I don't use much maybe an 1/8 tsp. or a little more)
mayo  to taste. If you like the taste and consistency of cream cheese, use less mayo.
Mix it all together and you have basic shrimp dip.
