Hi Westelle, here's the one that I've tried and liked. We used the Milkman powdered milk, I believe it is low-fat rather than non-fat so it gives a nice consistency. I think I'll make it again this season. :-)

Hot Chocolate Mix

* 3 C powdered milk
* 1/2 C cocoa
* 3/4 C sugar
* Dash of salt

Sift the ingredients into a large bowl. Pack the mix into an airtight container or jar. Attach the instructions to the jar.

Instructions for making a cup of Hot Chocolate:

* 4 Tbsp. Hot Chocolate Mix (from jar)
* 8 ounces boiling water
* Marshmallows or whipped cream (optional)

Place the Hot Chocolate Mix into a 12 oz. mug. Pour a little boiling water into the bottom; stir until the Chocolate Mix is completely dissolved. Fill the mug with remaining boiling water and stir well. Garnish with marshmallows or whipped cream.

NOTE: I found this recipe at a personal web site on the internet. The original source was unknown.

I can't find the one I use....but it contains some (??) Nestle's Quick, powdered coffee creamer, powdered sugar.....and I forget what else. You put 1/3 cup into a mug and fill with boiling water....and pop a marsh mallow if you want.
Someone will have that recipe....and when they post it I will copy it!

I think this is the recipe Linda is referring to:

1 large Container of Nestle Quick (It's just
under 2 lbs.)

1- 8 quart box of instant powdered milk

6 ounces of powdered coffee creamer (Such as
cremora...not flavored though)

1 bag of mini marshmallows

Mix all the ingredients together. ( I use a clean glad or hefty garbage bag) 1/3 of the mix in a mug of hot water and you've got the best tasting Hot Cocoa Mix. Each year I make a few batches and put them in decorative containers. I add a couple of inexpensive holiday mugs and it becomes an awesome gift for anyone on your list. Hope you enjoy!

Looks like you will have enough to last all winter....but it's so good it goes fast!!
But I add the marshmallows to the mug....I mean....after all they could all stay on top and someone might get more than their share!
Think I'll make a batch and send the rest home with the kids.
