we used Cascade Complete on the older model dishwasher to ensure results. When that machine was replaced last year I tried regular Cascade with the separate rinse aid. I was tired of the high priced Cascade Complete and noted that the regular cascade has a price reduction occas as well. We have good results at a cheaper price point now as well using the economy cycle on dishwasher. So it's regular cascade and generic or store brand rinse aid and I'm happy.

Oh yeah...*smile*, I misread that reply. I thought that they meant that they had found a "Cascade Complete" without rinse agent.

Ditto--cascade complete, no rinse agent. The DW came with a sample of cascade complete and of their rinse agent, but the dishes are cleaner when I don't use it.

I'm in a very humid climate and the regular cascade turns into a solid brick in no time, so for me it's worth it to pay more for the complete, which evidently contains something to prevent clumping.

The directions with my Asko DW stipulate if using a complete type DW detergent don't use the rinse agent. Works great.

I've used Cascade Complete with its companion rinse aid.
