Anyone remember this kitchen - please!

Within the last 3 or 4 months someone posted her finished kitchen here on the boards, but I can't seem to find it on FKB - not even sure if it was ever posted there.

Pretty contemporary - some people thought it had sort of an Asian feeling. I'm pretty sure it had slab doors made of rift-cut (possibly quartersawn) oak. Very clean & pretty. I think it was custom made a friend who did a lot of work matching grains on doors; there might even have been a bit of interesting styling by putting the grain on a slight diagonal, but not sure.

Anyone have any memory of this? I'd really like to get a better look at it. I was new on the boards then & didn't know how to clip. To tell the truth, even now I'm not sure exactly how to look at my clips.

Thanks for any help.

    Is it this one

I dont know, but you might try searching the categories in the FKB

I actually clipped something and then when it took me to my "My Clippings" page I bookmarked it. Navigation on this site leaves much to be desired. Ditto for the search function!

Anyway....did you check the Gallery or even the Conversations?

(See the links at the top and bottom of the thread list)

maybe the one posted by mysterymachine ?
You can go to my 'My clippings' because I have it there and they are set to 'public'. HTH

I remember it--incredible grain matching but I don't remember any diagonal grain. Horizontal, maybe. Wasn't mysterymachine's. Before that one. But I don't remember whose it was.

Did you also check the "In Progress" and "Done but not posted" kitchens? (Linked on the bottom right of the FKB site.)

BTW...I don't think the categories list has kitchens after 2006. At least when I've searched they've all been 2006.

Are you thinking of cat_mom's? I know she had the grain match ... although I don't think of hers as Asian.

    What about formosalily's?

    Thanks everyone.

Bayshank, There doesn't seem to be a link in your post.

Ci_lantro, I think you are remembering the one I'm looking for.
I'm very familiar with Cat_Mom's kitchen. I look at pictures of it to get encouragement that someday I might have a pretty kitchen too. :-)

I'll keep searching around in the FKB, but I'm not having too much luck.

Helou--I think we're thinking of the same kitchen. I got the idea that it was a guy who did the posting. Maybe that will help someone remember?

That's it! Now I remember the cubbies over the sink.

You're a dear, Bayshank. Thank you.

I agree....this site is hard to navigate.

Where does someone find the Finished Kitchen Blogs (without someone posting a link). I can't find it under the blog section and believe me, I've looked.

I did post the question where to find Finished Kitchen Blogs, but now can't find the question. Some forums let you subscribe to a link. I don't think this one does.

And, yes, they could improve their search feature. Lots of activity on this board, I like that! But as for navigating and finding stuff.....I don't know. Even my own "page" I don't know how to update that either. Sorry for the rant but this board could use a little remodel or updating!

Sometimes checking out the "Read Me If You Are New To GW Kitchens!" thread can be a surprising source of some great information! (Like how to navigate this site and how to find the FKB). And that goes even for us "oldtimers" LOL!

Yes! I was just about to post that I found what I was looking for - Chrispmoto's kitchen, but you guys beat me to it. Thank you so much.

OT, I think I'm slowly losing my mind over this kitchen.
