Bedding Set Count....

I know we've done this before but I have to ask again...

How many duvet or bedding sets do you own?

I'm looking at 1 more set for a total 3 duvets for my bed and 2 quilts.

My finger is hovering on the 'Buy' button. LOL!

How about you?

OMG! Way too many to count! I love bedding. I have two closets full. I had to stop looking at vintage Ralph Lauren on eBay completely and I hate Pottery Barn because they tempt me with their wonderful new duvet cover prints each season...so hard to resist.

Two for the guest room's daybed. One that fits very snugly and creates a more sofa-like look, but is a PIA to get on and off. So, I have a second for when guests come to stay. One for DD's bed, although we've just ordered another (from Pottery Barn) for her to take to college. MBR: one for Fall & Winter; one for Spring & Summer. Both cream colored (LOL).

I have 2 sets of sheets (all white!) and 1 blanket for each bed. Each bed has only one set of "top dressing". The boys have patchwork quilts on their beds. The master and guest room each have a quilt/coverlet and a folded duvet with cover at the foot. I tend to use things for a while, and by the time I buy something new, the old is either at the end of its life or I'm completely sick of it! My last master BR bedding lasted for 15 years.

I am a bedding person too. I am down to three sets as I felt guilty and parted with two to friends. Speaking of bedding, I wanted to tell you that I just purchased the Victorian bedding that someone posted as a possibility for your DD's room and I love it! Just let me know if you want to see pictures. By the way I love what you are doing in her room. Your decorating is lovely!

Multiple sets of sheets for each bed, but only one comforter/shams set per bed. Other decorative pillows, etc of course.

Sis2two - I would LOVE to see pics!

    I just bought this set:

I tend to always have a white quilt on the bed at all times w/ another quilt folded 1/2 way down and then a duvet folded in 3rds at the bottom. It sounds like a lot but I can always get the exact warmth I need for any particular night and it looks good too. I tend to switch the duvet look every 6 months or so. Right now I have a green one on that I haven't broken out in a year ot two. It's like shopping all over again but for free!

    Cool post!

We just went from a queen to a king and I have 0 bedding sets! I have great sheets, but nothing pretty atop just yet. We are using random blankets at the moment...

Thefoxespad...love it! The color is soothing for sure!

I am short a few. Need a new one for king in MB and for 2 twins in guest bedroom. There are so many to look at online and I haven't found THE one. I need to make a decision on the guest ones as we'll have guests in a few weeks and the room has nothing in it at the moment ... panic!

Chiapa....I can relate to that! We had a guest a couple of weeks ago...I had to borrow my mom's linens bc I didn't get around to purchasing a set for it. My room isn't even completed since we moved let alone the guest room! So...haha...borrow if need be so u aren't rushed into a decision..;)

ajc9, unfortuantely I don't yet know someone I would feel comfortable asking to borrow linens from! I just need to make a decision as the room also needs to be painted and matresses purchased. Panic! Which drives me to not want to rush a decision ... do you see a pattern here! lol

It helps that our bed is a queen, as is the bed in the guest room. So we don't have bedding that is particularly "for" one room or the other. I have two sets of cotton sheets (always ecru) and one set of flannel sheets. I have, I think, two blankets, and two or three quilts/bedspreads/covers. But I've got my eye on a new bed for the MBR, so I may need to upgrade there. And one of my "sets" of sheets is actually a fitted sheet from one set and the top sheet and pillow cases from another, so . . . some shopping is probably in order.

Oh wow! That I actually use... no, that's not nearly as fun. That I own:

Our (king) bed has 6 different bedding sets. I actually only use 1 of them. Two are leftovers from our previous house (we moved about 2 years ago and changed a lot of decor). The others have been packed up in an armoire for some time. I really should donate or garage sale them. I live just a few mins from a Penny's outlet, and they routinely run all king sized bedding sets & accessories on markdown for $29.99 (retail $300 - $400) and $3.50 for throw pillows. euro throws, shams, etc. It's VERY easy to be a VERY impetuous shopper at that price!

Our guest bed has 3 different sets, but again I only really use 1 of them... though the comforter for one of the others does sometimes cameo on especially cold nights. (The one we use is an empty duvet set).

DD (3.5 y/o) has one set, 4 sets of sheets and 4 mattress pads. :) We once had 2 accidents in one night and had to stay up waiting for laundry to finish. Never again, we said! Though she's now in a phase where most nights she gets up and either sleeps in her "bag bean" (beanbag) or comes into our room and sleeps on the floor next to my side of the bed.

Our other bedroom is set up as a playroom. When our basement is finished there will be a bedroom down there and I already have a few bedding sets for it, too. Like I said - it's almost cruel to work so close to a Penny's outlet. I'm not a huge fan of most of their stuff, but I really like most of the Linden Street lines.
