Sorry I don't have any pictures. However we just painted our ceilings and closets in Dover White. Looks fine on the ceilings but it reads green in the closets against either the primed or the Ivoire (yellow/gold/neutral color) walls. I never saw the green tinge on the color chips. In the room with green walls it reads warm and creamy. I would say make sure you look at it in the space you want to use it and against other colors you like or think you will use.

We did our bonus room space in Creme yesterday, so far I really like it but the paint is barely dry and the lighting up there is much different than other parts of the house.

Many people on the decorating forum like White Hyacinth, you can find it on the color presevation palettes. My painter has mentioned Silver Lining as a warm white but I haven't seen it. (The name sounds like a cool white to me - but what's in a name?) Also Sherwin Williams' website has a room design tool that lets you look at colors and helps find colors similar to one but lighter, darker, brighter, more muted, more yellow, etc... The people at Sherwin Williams might also be helpful, probably depends on who you get.

You could always take a painted sample of "your" white and have them color match it with the machine.

I think creamy whites are a challenge but look so great when they are right.

Thanks, Shelly! I did have SW do my color concoction; it's the cabinet guy that only uses SW formulations, so this is why I am having a hissy fit. LOL. I love Hyacinths, so naturally I want to see that one. It just sounds so pretty.

I have the paint sample, and have painted it on one of my cabinets, and it looks like I oould love it. My fear is that it will come back from the cabinet company looking NOTHING like the SW sample I have. Am I paranoid or what? LOL.

Oh wow, I wish I'd seen Jant's kitchen when I was collecting inspiration pics!!!! Shelayne, glad to hear SW was able to match your concoction color! I agree with Shelly_ok, off-white or cream cabinets are a challenge to pull off but they sure can look pretty when done right. I think I aged myself 10 years in a week trying to get my walls and trim to agree with my cream cabinets. I think cream with yellow undertones is so pretty in a kitchen!
