Differences between these sinks

I am new to the forum, but am very impressed with the amount of participation and knowledge out here. I am looking into the Blanco Silgranit sink and went to Home Depot's website to get confused between the "diamond" and "silgranit" sinks. What are the differences? The descriptions are exactly the same.

Blanco White Silgranit "Diamond" Double Bowl Kitchen Sink

Blanco Anthracite "Diamond" 1 & 1/2 Bowl Kitchen Sink

I really like the black Anthracite one, but I have read about the Silgranit being so great and want to make sure I am not getting duped.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they are one in the same, just different colors. The anthracite one is the dark grey/black one. I could be wrong, but that is my take on them.

Diamond is just one of the "shapes" of the sinks. I will attach a link to the Blanco Website, maybe that will clear things up?

The double bowl has two bowls of equal size; the 1 1/2 has a large bowl and a bowl half the size of the large bowl.

My Blanco Silgranit Diamond 1 3/4 is being installed as I post! (Large bowl and a bowl 3/4 size of the large bowl). I heard so many positive things about the Blanco silgranit on this board it convinced me to choose it over any other sink. I hope to be posting in the future about it also.

oops, nessie, you are right! I glanced right over that minor part of the post (1 & 1/2 vs. double bowl)

As stated above, Anthracite is a color of silgranit. I had the same confusion when I first started looking into sinks and reading about them here. A lot of people refer to their sinks as anthracite, and that just means they got the black silgranit, which also comes in white and an off white and now brown. The different styles of silgranit sinks by blanco are just different shapes. BLANCO"PERFORMA" is curved, BLANCO"DIAMOND" is only curved in back, and BLANCO"PRECIS" are very square, like zero radius sinks. What Blanco calls the double sinks are equal doubles. Single, 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 are also offered in each style and in each color. They are all silgranit since that is what they are made of, and they all come in various colors, including anthracite.

Sue, you did such a great job sorting out the differences!

I love my Blanco Diamond Silgranit Anthracite 1-3/4 sink! I got a great deal from eBay HomeandStone, much better than Home Depot's price. Check them out! They also recommended the undermount (511-707) that comes with installation kit, rather than 511-607 that can be either undermount or overmount, but have to order installation kit separately. Good Luck!
