TX folks.. and Ike

I just want to send positive thoughts to those of you in the path of Ike. I know that several of you may be impacted. Here in FL we are always so quick to be thankful when the big storms scoot by us... but oh my goodness... they DO go some place! Anyway.. I know that we all wish you well... be safe!

(I'm glad to be back. We spent several months away this summer.. traveled to Oregon and Washington.. camping... going to wedding. Had a wonderful time... but although I've enjoyed looking at everyone's wonderful art work...I've not gotten anything done. Hope to get back to it soon. :)

Again... positive thoughts your way in this scary storm time.

Thank you so much Katie! The folks down south in TX are really catching it last night and today.....9' of water in Beaumont...goodness knows how much in Houston...we're grateful to live in Dallas/Ft Worth, but still gonna have 40-60 mph winds and 4-6" of rain today and tonight. Anticipating losing power at some point coz it always goes out in storms, but tv says some 4.5 million **households** are without power so far down there.

It's also supposed to go right over where Slow and Flag live...stay in and stay safe, ladies!

Lots of prayers for our fellow Texans!!

So far, so good here. Lots of rain but not much wind as of yet. Slow is in Dallas and I hope okay? She will probably start home tomorrow so I hope it isn't too bad for her to drive. If we don't flood out here,this thing might blow over.

Had a long message prepared and the electricity went off just as I was to preview the message. In short home safe - debris in the neighborhood, but hardly any here. Pleasant rain in N. Dallas - Carrollton - but hardly any wind - other than the USUAL that keeps my hair a mess down there. Glad to be home, and back to work tomorrow. No time for the other side - maybe tomorrow. Thanks for caring, ladies. Sorry for your delima in your yard, FLAG - you'll have it cleaned up by dark!!!!!!!!!!
