I didn't know pre-mixed came in a tube. ANNIE: In the beginning I used the Mapei brand pre-mixed adhesive/grout that comes in the small and large tubs, but graduated to the Mapei sanded grout in powder form. It comes in 10-lb. bags and 25-lb bags. I buy the 25 lbs cuz it's cheaper. Lowes is the only supplier in my town.

I prefer sanded types that I mix in batches as needed. The one experience I've had with a premix was that it was rather sticky. I usually get Laticrete or Polyblend as those are what I can get between Lowes and Home depot.

Yep Same here..powdered form. Laticrete, or sometimes I find some at the Habitat store...forget that brand.
