Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I am doing this on plywood. I am cutting out all those circles from glass. I probably have cut about 50 so far. Yesterday from putting all those beads on string and cutting and grinding circles, I gave myself a terrible migraine that has now lasted 12 hours - so I lost a whole day to laying around. I do plan on grouting it, just have to figure out how I'm doing it.

Do you have a wet saw to cut the circles?

I have a saw, but haven't used it since it needs new blades. So I am nipping out the circles and grinding them into somewhat circle shape.

Sorry to hear about your poor head! I bought a great new blade for my tile saw that is 1/2 the thicknes of regular blades, haven't installed it yet but it should be Da Bomb! Called Hot Dawg?! This pc of yours is gonna be gorgeous!!!

Hey, MELBA. Took me awhile too, and I thought I'd N.E.V.E.R. figure out what ROTFLMAO. WIP - Work in Progress, and ROTFLMAO is: Roling On The Floor Laughing My A Off. Welcome, if I haven't told you already. Old - bad memory.

This one is taking me forever. Kinda messed up on the way my colors were going and me stringing beads and cutting and cutting circles. I have been so distracted with other stuff my mosaic is suffering.

Love it! Can't wait to see it. I've been thinking about using beads with my glass mosaic but haven't had the courage to try it yet, because of the grouting. I guess I'll make a 'test board' first. I love your little circles and have been trying to figure out how to make those myself. You say you have a Gryphon saw, is that how you made the smallest circles? I don't own a saw yet so would be looking for one that I can cut my stained glass with that would be good for 'shapes' and not shatter the glass.
I'm in the midst of making a tree mosaic and am trying to figure out how to grout the trunk with one color and the rest of the piece with another....ho hum.

I made circles on the glass with the marker and then used my nippers to cut them out, then used the grinder to make them look more like circles. No wet saw used on this project. This is becoming like the Christmas trees I made, don't know if I'll want to see another circle after this.

Your pain is our gain! I'm sorry you gave yourself a headache, but I got some nice eye candy for your efforts. This really is a nice piece, and I look forward to the updates.

Finally done cutting hundreds of circles. Not at all as I had planned. Hopefully will grout Monday. This is my racing mind at night.

Oh ny word,you are now labeled the circle Queen,amazing...beautiful desing and colors everything!Tell me about your beads please,are they glass had will you grout?I spent yesterday afternoon pulling off strands of gold pearls on a cross..I covered them in painters tape but still grout got on them..now I don't know what I'll use I was thinking of sead beads but I've never used them and odn't know how to put them on...can you help me?thanks I'm scared of the beads now.Annie

OH MY W.O.R.D., SIRIUS! Are you SERIOUS? How in the world did you have patience to cut so many circles? I love using circles too, but I just don't have the stick-to-itivity to stay w/it long. Wish someone w/sell different sizes circles. I don't usually buy ready-made tiles, but w/sure buy the circles. This is mind-bogglingly beautiful. This one I'm REALLY anxious to see grouted.

Yeah, I feel like a circle queen - ha. I didn't really have patience, I'm just stubborn and wanted to see this through. I think I made a mistake putting in seed beads before grouting. I may have to tear them out, grout and then reinstall them.

Holy moley.......... that is just to darn hot for words. Wow all those circles. You have really hit the mother load on them. Can't wait to see it grouted now.

Wow! That is sooo awesome! It must take a lot of patience to do soooo many circles, great job on the cutting!

Here she is! Never thought I'd get this done. I still have some clean up to do on the beads, but otherwise it grouted pretty good. 20x20" with stained glass, glass beads, poly clay earrings and millefiori. I am on this dumb dial up today, so I haven't been on the forum as much as I'd like.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The beads took a lot of stringing, putting down glue and laying them out. When kind of set up I would use a toothpick to make sure they were straight. The seed beads I just used weldbond - need to fix them though with some mac glue or something that will work better.

I'm totally in shock to see that each bead is standing tall in the grout, and that's no small matter, considering their size. Don't know how you did this so successfully. Was your grout dry or soupy?

Fun, fun, fun! With so many circles you'd think that the green squares would have jumped right out at me but I just noticed them. Good thing I'm not a paid observer! ;-P

My grout was the usual consistency, it just took a lot of wiping and using a toothpick. Wow, I've never seen the lens cutter before, that would be great to have.

AMAZING! LOVE it with the grout in place......one thing for sure, IF I ever get around to using seed beads on a piece I want to grout, I'm sending it to you for that step!! No patience here, but thrilled you showed us the final product!
