Cute NT...nice and bright. This is going to be a very fun project. Are you putting that stuff on the mirror? Your frame edges dont seem to be very wide but the picture could be decieving.

yeah i'll definately have to work both on the frame and down onto the mirror. I suppose I should try to outline that for myself before hand huh? considering I barely have any mirror showing on my blue one! LOL BORDERS - mosaikers without BORDERS!

okay, I can't seem to get a decent shot of the whole mirror now that I've started glueing.

I am feeling unsure of this, haven't found that sense of "rightness" yet... so it's as much a mystery to me as it is to you at this moment

and now I read this thread (duh) Slow, I actually don't know where this will go yet... it might actually end up being a present for their grandpa and stepgram. But at this minute I'm not even sure about that...

OHMYGOODNESS. I don't understand why you don't FEEL this. My mouth is hanging open. Your artistic mind just blows me away. I LOVE how you've topped the outline of the mirror you'll leave inside the artistic frame. How would you be able to part w/this piece? I'm LOVIN' this already. Keep going.

mmmmmmm... well I made some moves after these pics that I'm really not happy with and I think for the 1st time ever - I'm going to pull some things off. I walked away from it last night, but this am I went in and look and felt for sure that that area was icked up!

LOL you know how it is to look at the pictures... well now I think the mistakes started with those butterflies and just got worse from there... maybe I can still use them, but singular here and there - right now they look all jumbled and incohesive. That right there set me up to continue something bad up there... DOH

just need to finish the bottom now, any suggestions on grout colors? And then I'll figure out what to paint on the frame...

Well you know I don't know much about grout yet, so I don't know.... I might be tempted to do a color, like lime green or one of the other colors through this.

Anyway, I think it's going to be fabulous!

What a terrific piece! There are so many cool things, but my favorite has to be the person in the upper left with the hair & crown added.

Oh, dear ME! Wish I could see this in person. NT - you have such a creative mind. This is simply magnificient. I would never have thought of this design. I so love EVERYTHING you do, and wish I could capture some of your thinking as you work. I'll NEVER forget how long it took you to mosaic that first bowling ball. I'll confess here and now that I thought you were puttin' us on, teasing us, but realize once you let your fear loose from the "bottle" that you created that blew me away, there's been no stopping you. Truly an artist. Wonderful piece, and I can see how grandparents w/love this. Don't mean to sound morbid, but put a plaque on the back to "Return to Artist O.D." - you know - like my bank account - P.O.D. to my daughter. W/your DD's pictures on this, it's a family heirloom that should be saved for .........
