i had this ugly french provincial bureau-painted it white then decided to fill the grooves with beads and glass gems. dont think i will grout. i will mosaic the top also...barb {{!gwi}} {{!gwi}}

    OH This is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! I would not grout the beads either. What glue did you use for the beads?

    Love all the colors you used and can't wait to see the top.
    Furniture is so much fun to do and to have i your house.

    OH, BA1JE: How sweet this piece is. That is just the happiest design. I LOVE the abstract. Also love the bead idea. Simply beautiful. Another fun project to watch.

    I agree with slow, that is a very happy design. Its just so darn cheerful!!! Something I could definitely use today!! We are having a cold snap and man is it getting to me..of course Im kinda a wimp compared to some of you who live in colder climates!!

    i used glass s shaped gems - kinda like bows. got them on ebay. i like to use glass gems and beads when i can. this is my guest room bureau. the china i nipped but i cheated with the stained glass. the 2 lavender pieces in front,the yellow octagons and the clear irridescent swirls were scrap pieces that i got from a stained glass shop for free.cheap and no work.....barb

    That would make anybody want to stay in the guest room! It's so pretty and happy looking, it puts a smile on your face. Also can't wait to see it done.
