I will be doing some pc soon after this project. Have a design that has spun in my head for months and have to get it out soon or my head will explode, just been too lazy to switch my studio from glass to clay again :D

SUCKED! probably best if you butted all the outer tesserae right up against the box wall and not leave a grout line there - PITA!

I'm getting ready to grout my box right now.
I already used the polycrylic on my tiles. Some pealed off
a little, when I was messing with some bubbles. I went ahead and recoated them all.....without shaking the can like I did last time! I know better than to do that! I don't know what I was thinking.......anyway, I'll let you know how the grouting goes with the polycrylic.

Thanks NT for letting us know how that worked out. Im gonna try that diamond stuff eventually. I like the idea of being able to bake it again to make the coating even stronger..but I dont know when!!!

I was at Ace hardware yesterday and you would have thought I would remember to check out the Future floor wax but NOOO I had to forget...what a dork!!!

I just finished grouting the box. The tape doesn't work with polycrylic! It pulls it off. BUT! I grouted the rest without the tape and the polycrylic worked great. It stood up to my regular grouting and all the water just fine. But I'd like to be able to use tape to keep the grout out of the impressions, so there isn't so much clean up. So I don't think I'll use it again.

Has anyone tried the clay varnish or glaze?
I bought some yesterday.....might try that too.

You've also got me digging into my clay again....... Good grief.. I can't take it! My head is exploding with more ideas. I am already ADD... I can't even drive without seeing something mosaiced or clayed ..
