I know I sound like a broken record but . . .BLACK grout.

That is cool beyond words. In my amatuerish opinion ... black grout . Bright colors and black grout go together like ice cream and hot fudge . LOL

WOW! Is that ever a masterpiece!! So COLORFUL!! I keep going back and looking at it and seeing something new each time! Who wouldn't look beautiful in a mirror framed like that?
Black was my first reaction, also.

That is just TOOOOO cute! I love it! Definitely will keep looking back at it! WOW!!! What a fun, FUN mirror!
Hmmmm just looked at the 'up-closes' in the pic with the salt/sugar shaker top (is that what it is??? so clever!) there are some red tiles to the right.. look like red and clear. Are they tiles? Beads? ENquiring minds want to know. :)
Yup... black or at least very dark.
(And... love that you ran the tess. over onto the mirror!)

You have a cheerful spirit, Flag. I just love all the colors you use. Your mirror is beautiful!!!

Da-haannngg! Your mirror's incredible. The colors are amazing and the design is well executed. I agree, a dark grout would make it pop.
BTW: Thanks to TMG, now I'm craving a hot fudge sundae!

KATE- The yellow in the upper left corner is a salt shaker cut in half. The red tiles I think you are asking about are red glass tiles alternating with some red/yellow marbles. I have done the outside edge with 1/2" mirror tiles. I hads no plans for this, just did it as it came to me,a lot of stuff for one mirror, but then...who cares?
The tess running out onto the mirror just sort of happened, probably will make it hard to clean.LOL
I have a mate to this one that I have almost done, very differemt. I got both of these at a YS for $5.00. So not a lot invested in them.
Glad all of you like it. I keep looking at it and still cannot visualize black grout. It seems so harsh. I am not a big fan of black. Isn't that wierd, I use a lot of color, but don't like black??How crazy is that??
Thanks to all of you for your input and kind comments.

I guess the massage is over; I can get into your flikr account now. WOW--what a Mirror! We need lessons from you! FLAG that is OVER THE TOP!

    P.S. Will you please e-mail me (mccumberpe@cableone.net)?
I have an unrelated question. Thanks!

Gosh flag that is really awesome!!! I feel like I am just saying what everyone else says!!! BLACK GROUT!!

You are getting so creative with all these plates and cups and salt and pepper shakers and such!!! I just dont have the imagination for stuff like that...wish I did!!!

Do you have time to make a small sample board for grout? That helps me alot. I take some of the tiles I used in my piece and glue them down to a small board and then grout them in all the different colors of grout Im thinking of using and then I can decide better which one I like. It works really well for me.
