Old Wine Crate Gone Funky/Functional

This wine crate was given to me about three yrs. ago by my friend who has a flea mkt stall. Been trying to figure out what to do w/it, so yesterday when I was cleaning/mopping the workshop floor, I kept moving it out of my way, so plunked it on the work table, and ..... Have had these red bottles and votive holders about the same amount of time, also had lots of mirror scraps, so did a little assembly, slapped on some crimson paint and a wash of raw umber, and viola . I like it, even though it's a bit weird. BTW - those of you who have emailed me this morn. - Cableone is having server problems. I can receive, but not send.

You people who are "mass producing" this SG&M stuff are making the rest of us look bad...

Da-hannng. You musta been busting at the seams, ready to go when you finally got finished with Lally!LOL
That's a really neat piece. Kinda looks "shriny" to me.

OMG That is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! WOW So glad our Slow is back in her Groove!! You are such an inspiration.

I love it when pieces fly together like this but it takes so much creativity to even come up with the ideas.

Roses in January?? WOW Cool We are still getting hammered with snow.

Just stunned on how pretty this is.

Many thanks, y'all - just a junk collector and a warped mind. Yes, SHADES - it's so warm here the roses are STILL blooming and budding. BAMA - you caught me - I have shrines on the brain, looking forward to Mexico week when I was scheduled to take a shrine workshop. Hope I can come up w/one w/the group thing.

SPECTACULER! TOTALLY AWESOME! I adore it! and you are to blame for my current shriney/niche'e mood too... I'm cooking up ideas to make a couple as gifts!

Beautiful Slow,I not only long for your creativity but your energy too.I swear you are wonder woman.I cleaned garage all day today aftr getting shots in my spine i felt good enough to do it but leaves no time to mosaic...gotta fix that!

Wow, slow - awesome. And, once again, so FAST! What is your grout - it looks like lead....is it silver? Whatever it is, it's perfect for the piece.

Oh, my again! Thanks again. NT - I simply see a shrine in everything lately. One of my friends doesn't want one cuz she thinks it has spiritual connotations. Doesn't to me - I just like the shape. Can't wait to see how you perfect it. LYNDALU, the grout is Keracolor grey from Lowes. Oh, BTW - y'all wonder why I get so many done - look at the dust on the little Bahian lady to the right of it in my pass through window to the kitchen!!!!!!!! Gonna have to call in the big guns tomorrow cuz I don't want to stop and clean the house. She can do it in a couple hrs., and it takes me two days.

Slow, that is FABULOUS! My thoughts are aligned with everyone else, I am flabbergasted at your creative energy (combined and separate) and just wish I had half of what you have.
Yeah, call the big guns, you have more important things to do in this world than dust.

Amazing, what a great idea. Glad to see you back to your old self. Love the mirror with the red. And the white roses really set it off.

Dust, schmust. You know I had to go back to see it, don't you? LOL

I like this piece, beings how it's shiny and all. I wonder if you could mount one of those touch lights in the top? I think it would make the red glass glow.

Wow. love that with the mirror inside. Great job!!

    What dust????

Can you please send some of your energy my way?????

That piece is AWESOME!!!! How you find time to clean AND create is beyond me!! I better get off my duff and get moving on my million half done projects. You are inspirational!!

Thanks y'all. Nice idea on the touch light, but it's a very small area, and I don't think one w/fit. In person the red shows well. Y'all sure make mornings nice w/your compliments.

Awesome! Love how exotic it looks with the mirror and red. Great Job!
