Oh slow this one of my favorite pieces,and i did notice the flower,it looks so good.I've got some bottles this one I'll use if you don't mind and I know you don't .Did you just put a wooden heart on a board?by the way the heart i sent you is made from wood not paper mache?How ever you spell it.LOl.i love how bright this is ,you could get some glass flowers on stems at the dollar store for the bottles too.I saw a bunch in orange,gold and white yesterday for 99 c ea.let me know if you want some.

I would soooooooo appreciate it. However many is convenient w/you, I would so love to have. I was thinking the heart was paper mache. Thanks for telling me that it's wood. How flattering that you want to make one of these. On the heart, I just drew a heart, and cut out the top part. I then followed the drawing and used a plate I'd cut up to outline the shape. I just can't get over the creativity that flows out in your mosaics! It's so colorful... and I love the blue bottles.. and the fact that you used them without having to cut them at all. What color grout will you use? Are you going black with this one? I just keep going back and looking at it again! Beautiful!

I was browsing thru the stained glass store today and checked all the awesome fusing they're doing right now and said"Self, You are NOT going to buy anymore till you ahve used up ALL that stuff you have at home!!!" So I only bout a few things,,,I NEVER listen to myself,(especially when I'm talking out loud, I just walk away and ignore myself...)Ahhh, my blue collection...where is that stuff...

Slow that is really pretty. I love the blue bottles..they are one of those things I covet!!!! I dont find them very often but have been tempted to buy sky vodka just to get some!!!!

I have tried and tried to JUST use my stash and invariably it never works, but I dont mind cuz then I get some pretty new glass to play with...also I dont think my stash is as big as yours!!!!

Aaaah - a good cup of coffee w/the best cheering section on the planet. Thank y'all for the uplift. This was an experimental piece I sorta threw together searching for a substantial project - like NT says - not just something to glue together. I'm surprised y'all like it, for some - well enough to want to make one. Yes, GIBSONA - just slathered each bottle w/GE II. And, I suppose y'all have talked me into black grout. Oh, THANKS, CRACK, for the flowers. Yes - any of those that BAMA used. I've seen pictures of CALAM's flowers too - ANY and as many as you can find. Oh, BTW - the middle bottle is a Milk of Magnesia bottle w/the raised inscription of "Received in the U.S. Patent Office August 21, 1906. Suppose that's an antique. The bottom one had nothing, but the cap had rusted and meld onto the bottle. Crumbled off in cleaning, but couldn't get the stains from within to budge even w/wire scrapings. Thanks again, y'all for making my morning sweet.

SHEESH, I'm so self centered that I didn't even say how much I love this idea and Really like the way you put the plates around the bottles, You are just amazing! (DH and I are fighting over the wastebasket!lol)

How clever!! I loved the subject of the thread "I had these blue bottles....".....I thought, oh boy, can hardly wait to see what she did with them!!! Beautiful piece, very unique, love how you put it all together. Very artistic!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...I totally identify with your comment "In an effort to continue to use things in my stash,..." I have tried to keep away from thrift stores lately - I keep having to reorganize my work space - cause I keep running out of room to store stuff!! I'm thinking my next few projects should be based on what ever substrates are taking up the most room! :)

Grouted the heart plaque, and also grouted a little shoe shine box I mosaice a few days back. I didn't want to cover all it's age, so only mosaiced part of it. You can view it in "gifts". For those who don't know how to navigate Photobucket, the albums are on the top left when you click on back to Slomedown. Hope DGD likes the shine box for a little planter in her new apt. at college.

Love it when y'all want to do one too. Remember perfume bottles too, and SalArmy has lots of bottles. Still have to paint the board edges and put the chain hanger on, but am too anxious to get to the next project. Thanks, y'all.
