My thought is a tan...

I would love to see it in two grout colors - swirled into each other. Green and white.

Mosaicwench, I like the idea, but I'm having trouble visualizing how I would do that. I feel kind of silly asking for an explanation. Probably a very simple thing to do. Can you elaborate? :O) Oh, the green I have is a light mossy green colour. I do have white.

LOVE your little seat! When you listed your grout colors, my immediate thought was, "Not blue". Then I saw it was your first choice. Sorry. I still think, not blue, since there's NO blue in your tessarae. My idea was to mix some of the light green with a LITTLE black at a time to make a darker green. It would kind of blend with the leaves, and make everything else stand out. My 2p.

OH TIFFY: That is spectacular. Just plain danged beautiful. I'm w/LADY - dark green.

Really easy, actually.
Mix up some of your green grout.
Then mix up some of your white grout (I'd mix them both a tad bit drier than I normally would).

Let it slake and follow manufacturer's directions per usual.

Plop (that's a technical term, doncha know) some white and then some green in various places around the table/seat. Take your grout float or your hand or whatever you use to moosh (another technical term) the grout into the interstices and start grouting. Your goal is not to blend them ALL together, but to have a nice white/green swirl transition where the two colors come together.

You might have to scoop off some of whatever color you feel dominates, but other than that it's just like regular grouting.

If you try it I hope you have fun.

Never thought of mixing two grouts to get another tone/colour... DUH! Good one!

I should be able to make a decision and get'er done on the weekend so I'll post with the end result as soon as the 'year long' table is done. :O)

Dang, I never would have thought of doing a top like that for the chair bottom. PERFECT!! I can't wait to see it grouted..whatever you decide to do.

I think any version of the green choices mentioned would work nicely. Hurry so we can see it done!

If the tiles are a tan brownish, I almost see a brown grout like chocolate to bring out the pattern. I would be afraid to go lighter, it would wash it out. Some part of me is almost seeing a mahogany grout too... This is going to look beautiful - you've done a great job so far.

That is beautiful, can't wait to see it grouted. I love all the grout suggestions you got here. I mix up a little bit of what I'm thinking about using and place a few pieces in it. (Course, that means I have to have lots of grout colors, additives, and paint)!I don't decide until it's dry because my problem is usually getting the grout color too light.

WAIT!! I noticed the bottom is different after the first picture... how many of these are you working on?

Can't pass anything by you, eh Bama??? Of course, this one is nearly finished. Then I have another which has a new top, is sanded and primed, and then there's the third which I haven't started yet. All three chair bottoms were found on G-day.

Can't get anything by Jane either!!! Yep, too much Silicone! Should have read DB and his wife... Enjoyed the faux pas when you pointed it out. :O)

I don't think I'll be using it as a seat. It's more like a little side table now. I leveled the top when I placed it on the legs.

OK, now to retreat to contemplate on the grout... Feeling the pain of the brain cells having to make a decision...
