Yes, it is hard to find my tesserae on it Bama, but when the person who bought it for you is your preteen daughter, you learn to love looking endlessly for that prized piece which just flew off the nipper!

Stjohnsgypsy, The handle is the original colour. I like that green too and am going to try to keep it that way. I might find it challenging to mosaic the little piece of metal which goes from the bottom of the handle to the kettle. We'll see what happens when I get there. :O)

I love this coffee pot!!! I love how your doing the little gems on it and the longer pieces of glass. Wish your picture was better cause its blurry and I cant see it that well!!!

Oh, an old percolator coffee pot. Used to love coffee made in those best, b/f the electrics came out. Love the shape of your tiles, and the belt parts are just perfect, especially the way you're placing them.

I love that... I have a question..can teapots be used on the fireplace after they are mosaiced? Will the heat affect them adversely?

Ireally like this piece, alot.......when it comes up mising, DO NOT come to TX looking for it!! The glass colors and shapes are wonderful to show off the blingy belt pieces!

Would you mind sharing what adhesive you are using? Got my eye on an old kettle-style grill that I'd like to do this spring. I think it's a really heavy aluminum...anyway, the question of what adhesive has been bugging me. Read somewhere that GEII doesn't do well on metal...anyone able to share experience?

Oh, yes, CURB - it does. That's what I used on all the coffeepots I've done and other metal projects. I'm trying to get away from GE II, but unfortunately it WORKS so well for certain projects.

You know, I always like to come here and show you what I'm making because you are always so encouraging and I truly appreciate it. Gives me that UMPH and great feedback. So a big THANKS to everyone!

It's not something I would put on the stove after I'm finished. Too much labour, thought, and heart goes into making any project so I wouldn't even try it. :O)

I must agree with Slow - GE II all the way. I've not used anything else as an adhesive. This kettle was clean but scratched so the surface was already great to go for the glueing, but sometimes I sandpaper with stuff made especially for metals. By sandpapering and then cleaning, the surface becomes perfect for the GE. I do this with bowling balls too. Just one sheet of sandpaper for metals can be found at any hardware store and it's cheap.
