There was a lot of nipping of tiles with this project. They were 3/4" vitreous glass tiles. The black border tiles were nipped into quarters while the other colored tiles were nipped into 9 pieces. I didn't work on it everyday, but I started it just after Christmas. I'm glad to have it done. I need to start something new...LOL.

I love this birdhouse. It reminds me of the artist Matisse - - very graphic and bold. Tell your hubby it's not "loud", it's just very "graphic and bold" and that was the look you were going for! It will look great outside too.
