Latest project

A new friend from church wanted to get back into painting so I invited her to my house, had her pick out a pattern, and pulled out a couple of wooden plates from my stash. We spent a few happy afternoons working on these and chatting. I'm rusty, haven't painted in a long time, but it felt good and I plan to start doing it lots more in the coming months. Anyway, thought I'd share a picture with you.

Luvs I'm so happy you mentioned you had posted here! And Anj,
so glad you've hung in there! Now have you shared pictures of
things you painted last month? I need to go to bed but will be back
    Another day.

Oh ladies we so need to Rock this forum again! Punk

Hi Anj, I've missed being here with you and the other gals. I pulled out some books last month and started checking out the projects I had earmarked that I wanted to do someday. Gave myself a good talking to and have decided it would really be good for me to get back into painting (which has always been a great creative outlet for me) and reconnect with all my forum friends.

I've lost touch with you and all your families activities. I so enjoyed hearing about all of you. Got any updated pictures? I know your little one is 10, same age as my little GD. Did your older daughter graduate already? And the boys? Are they in high school now? How is John and what's he been up to? I've seen your yard art--quite a switch for the gal who liked tiny brushes! lol

Punk, you are such a sweetheart and always so encouraging. Yes, we do need to Rock this forum again--but you are the one that's always so very busy--can you squeeze in any painting time these days?

Oops! I am rusty, all this "conversation" should not have been on the gallery--please forgive me this once.

I love it...conversation away! I have missed this so much! ha My oldest is 20 and graduated a few years ago. She and I got a job together last summer working on floats! I designed and she made a Christmas candy window that is up in a town center near here until the end of the month. I'll try to get pics. The boys are doing great. One is a jr and the other is in 9th grade. The youngest is doing great too. John is having some issues with his diverticulitis still. His job is really stressful so that triggers it. He's in the process of trying to get something a little less stressful. Other than that we have started raising rabbits! ha I feel like farmer Brown with all these animals around here I have to take care of. I'm still babysitting until January when the job hunt will be on again. Gonna try to get on at the post office doing data entry. What's everyone else up to??

So happy to see your post this morning, Anj. You are always so busy and come up with such creative ideas! Glad the kids are doing well. Gosh, so hard to believe they have grown up so fast. Bet the kids love having the rabbits at your house. I don't know much about them other than how wonderful their fur feels when you pet them.

You didn't mention your Mom and Dad. They haven't moved or anything have they? Hope both are well.

I'm going for new eyeglass prescription this morning. Had cataract surgery on one eye. Pretty amazing to be able to drive without glasses on--well, I'm supposed to wear sunglasses but you know what I mean. Need new prescription for other eye and up close vision.

Recently went to a craft show. Seems elves are all the rage this year. Might be something to look into for your cutouts. I still can't believe you are doing such big things, always think of you and your "little" brushes doing such great detail work! ;o)

Better get going. I'll be back tomorrow or next day for sure.

Mom and Dad are back home for a few months visiting. They will be back some time in January. They are both doing well. I'm enjoying having the house to ourselves for a while.

My hormones are out of whack and causing my eyesight to be really bad. Haven't been able to afford to go get the blood work done for my thyroid to renew my meds. I put my glasses on and I take them off so many times a day. Hoping to get this all straightened out soon. Can't see up close or far away any more. ha Need bifocals I guess. I got done with the last special order finally and will start working on some Easter/Spring signs now. Trying to find a job and will start working at the float place again in January until I find something that pays better.

Anj, I just had cataract surgery on my left eye. Will need it on the other eye in a few years. Hope you get your's taken care of soon, know that can be frustrating! Good luck in your job search, hope you find just the right fit. Glad you still enjoy the cow, I think of you each time I look at the painted magnets on my fridge. Enjoy the holidays, and we'll try to get this place moving again in the New Year.
