OT- But very necessary

I'm sorry this is off the topic of mosaics, really I am. BUT, my little dog is having surgery where they have to open his chest and do things to his heart and chest lining. He is in Columbia, MO at the veterinary teaching hospital at Mizzou. His doctor doesn't think cancer but his surgeon thinks it is. This dog is like my first born child. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers for his surgery tomorrow. (And I promise I'll get my WIP pics up soon!)

Thank you very much.

Kelly

Thinking of your and your baby...I pray all turns out well.

I missed this yesterday. Will send all the prayers today! I hope all goes well? I lost my baby in March due to cancer and understand the "first-born" very well. Mine was not only first born but only child.
I hope you and your pup are surrounded with all our prayers and kept safe. God bless you both.

Hi, Kelly. I hope all goes well today. The doctors in Columbia are AWESOME! I've known a couple people who have rushed their dogs there from the St. Louis area because they are so qualified. (hugs)

My two girls (our sweetheart/devil Labs) and I are pulling for your little dog. I think so many of us understand the total love for our animals.

My heart goes out to you .... Vets are wonderful now - what seems horrible to us - is routine to them. Best wishes from me and my 3 dogs.

One of the vet students called me to let me know that he did awesome in surgery toay!! (I fell like I can breathe again) He did better than any other dog they have ever had that had this surgery. Does that make sense?!? They didn't see anything abnormal in his chest. Which is good...but...we still don't know what is causing fluid to build up on his lungs and heart. They took out his peri-ocardio sac (like I know how to spell that!) and took pieces of a lot of things to send off to histo- something or other. We won't know for a week if he has cancer (which if he does, we caught it incredibly early) we won't know for a month if he has a fungal infection. All I wanted to know today was that he made it through surgery ok. You prayers were sooooo felt today. And the thoughts from everyone furkids, too. (I loved to hear that everyone's furry family members were sending the vibes; he sure must have felt them.) One of the worst things about this is that he is 4 hours away having all this stuff done and now (thankfully) recovering, and I have to stay at home and go to work. $omething ha$ to pay that bill!$! Again thank you so much for everything that you did! This has reminded me that life is short -everyone's life- and so I need to enjoy it more and let work STAY at work. So new life plan:

    1. Family/Friends/Furbabies
    2. Health
    3. Mosaics!!!

Here is a pic of my little Rizzo! Not the best, but sometimes it is tricky to locate pics on my computer. I save stuff in weird places thinking that if it is weird enough, of course I'll remember where I put it. Duh.
