Cooking in my developing kitchen.

Ok,

So here I am.

Culinary wiz at work. Cutting, chopping, mixing, browning, baking, & twirling knives in the air. Chop, CHOP, CHOP!

Ok,

So I'm making chicken noodle soup, turkey legs for stuffing, and meatloaf to divide and freeze so I have something other than brownies to eat.

BUT!

I love the fact I can pull out my reuse center trash cabinet and just slide the garbage in to the garbage can! Oh - beaded inset trash cabinet, I must reiterate.

Got me doing a little dance.

Tomorrow it's spaghetti sauce, the stuffing, and beef stew.

Friday it's vegetable soup.

I'm a master at freezing portions for later.

Not so good at cooking for one.

BUT!

I love my cabinet.

Show off! Beaded inset trash can :). And cooking too, instead of dry-walling, plumbing, sanding.....nice when life settles down a little so you can enjoy. The new cabinet(s) come this week, no?

    my long lost twin!

tho, right now I'm just THINKING about the cutting, chopping etc part. I've got the 'parts' to make up a batch of our family dressing (yeah, I can eat it for a meal). my sister gave me some celery (needed for it) so I should really do it before the celery goes bad...maybe later I'll have the energy.

ok, back to reading your post...

Uh, I thought you said that you don't cook much. Maybe you don't cook very frequently, probably because you cook enough for an army and then freeze the leftovers? Smart!! It made me happy to read how much you're enjoying your work in progress.

I'm amazed the Op's typing is as good as it is, one would suspect with that knife "Twirling in the air", followed by the "Chop Chop Chop", that "Said Op" is obviously typing with her feet, due to the "Late departed Phalangies of the digits"?

So happy that you're enjoying your kitchen. Everything sounds so yummy! Enjoy! I'm also waiting to see those new cabs you ordered--another case of Christmas in springtime!

    Now I'm hungry for brownies--thanks! ;)

No, oldbat2b. Cabs will be the 9th, and my MBR marble will be on Monday. Yeah!

Fouramblues, I think you're right. I cook in volume, then not again for 2-3 months. It's because when I buy hamburger, I can make spaghetti, meatloaf, and a grain thing. Celery goes for so much, as do onions, green peppers, blah blah.
I don't know what I'd do without my freezer. :)

No, dodge59. [LOL] I have mastered the art of holding the knife with my teeth while I type. My palangies -- to date -- are intact. I'm using my feet to balance as I climb counter to cabinet and back and forth. After all. I do teach yoga...

Ever heard Home Simpson moan, "Beeeeeeerrrrr"? Well for me, it's "broooooooowwwwnies" if I'm not moaning about "beaded insettttttttt" cabinets. [chortle]

Today it's spaghetti. I'm gonna do the beef stew tomorrow.
Stuffing, too. Nummy! I'm gonna be livin' large with my beaded cabinets and bathroom marble. Someday I'll be able to do my uppers. WATCH OUT WORLD!
