I think those pieces are beautiful, too. I don't collect a lot of pottery, but I do have a few nice pieces made by New England artists. The prices looked to be in line with what I paid for mine.

Those pieces are beautiful works of art. While the prices are high I think if you like them and can afford them it's immaterial.

I collect handcrafted thrown pottery but now mostly buy it at yard sales. I used to sell pottery from several artists in my store and am always thrilled to find a small piece done by a potter I know for only a few dollars in a YS. Gives one a fresh perspective of the value of things.

Those would be perfect for my house. My whole house is a monochromatic with an under lying nature/bird theme. I also collect Racu pots. Do you think those are Raku?

She doesn't give the sizes so it's hard to tell if it's a good price or not. But, I do collect pottery or at least I really like to decorate with it, and find it best to go for what you really love and don't worry if it's a good price or not. I have several pieces by Bruce Odell that are beautiful but they were several hundred for a bowl.
I also have vases and pitchers and platters by other less well known potters but the pieces are still beautifully made.

I would never buy a piece of pottery unless I was familiar with the artists work. You can't tell if it's good unless you lift it and feel if it's heavy and ungainly or even and light.
