Some people use welbond but I'm a fast kinda gal and could never wait that long!lol! I use my handy dandy dry in 10min GE Marine Silicone!

I just did a search for the silicone you mention and some fishing place close to my DB sells it. Do you have the big tubes that you need a caulking gun for? If so, can you plug it after using very little? I'd like to try it since you've mentioned it a few times but I would be using very little every time and don't want to waste all that is left. The window I'll be making will be for outdoors, so the marine stuff would probably be the ideal thing.

Tiffy, I buy a small tube, its Loctite clear household silicone adhesive/sealant Walmart has it in the aisle with the caulk, it looks like a tube of glue, has a screw on nozzle and a cap so you can seal it back about 3.50 a tube. I havent bought the big tubes cuz I was worried about the same thing.
Oh by the way this is indoor outdoor weather and waterproof etc, I have even glued the soles of shoes back on with the stuff and it works!

TIFFY: I use the GE II in the caulking tube w/a caulk gun. I sometimes - no scratch that - LOTS OF TIMES - forget to put the cap back on. It drys at the tip, but I use an ice pick to stick down into the dispenser tube, and restart it. You don't lose much in these caulking tubes. The small tubes are lots more expensive in the long run. But, since you said you'll use very little, you're probably not worried about it. I think I've seen other silicons in small tubes. After all, isn't silicon the same in any dispenser?

Hi Tiffy, I use 100% silicone (that's how it's labeled) it's cheaper that GEII. It comes in a caulking tube and I insert a nail into the hole to keep it from drying out. I've used it over and over without any problem. I either put some directly on the glass and spread it or put some on paper and use a tooth pick to apply it. Hope this gives you some ideas! Hey, go for it!!!

I buy it in the smaller tube, it's exspensive but I prefer it.
