hello! after so long :) ... and some work i've done :)

hello ladies :)

just wanna say 'hi' again to everyone :) i see that we have lots of new names :) and luvs! you have been going around in blogsphere haven't you :) thanks for introducing painters blogs... they are really cool :) you are right... so much to find in blogsphere :)

i have been keeping myself busy (creatively) cos i'm 'unemployed' again in my 'real work' field since the last time i wrote ... but i think i've made good use of this time. i just wanna share some happy news with you all :) i've put in the first ever consignment of my 'arty-practical' stuff in one of our local shops near where i live :) that's why i've been painting and crafting like crazy these few weeks :) just to get enough stock into the shop :) this happened like a couple of days ago ... so now i'm just excited to see if anything happens :)

also.. i've listed myself on etsy! yeah! i only have 4 items there but i thought what the 'heck' i might as well do it since the ball's been set rolling already by that consignment thingy :) if i dun try i'll never know, right? *fingers crossed*

just wanna share this with all of you because you have been so supportive and encouraging of my work :)) i guess if i didn't come here or blog, i'ld never have the 'courage' to sell my stuff :) i just wanna say thank you to all of you :) really... from the bottom of my heart :) for sort of giving me that little 'push' :)

here are some of the things i did so far :

this first one is another sun-moon series i did. first i designed and painted with acrylic on canvas. these served as my base (no embellishments) , then i scanned and resized them, printed and used them on my crafts. so my own designs & paintings on my crafts :) after they've been transfered onto the coasters and the keyholder, i embellished the images further using gel pens and metallic pens so that each set i make would look a little different.

for my elephant series, again i designed and painted with acrylics (that's the only paint i know how to use! ) on canvas then scanned into the computer and resized so that i can use the images in my crafts :) painted 5 in color then i thought...hmm.. i should do something different for the 6th... so i doodled an elephant :) also made these into coasters and a key holder. probably place mats next...

that's what i've been up to :) hope it's not too long a post :) as always... i'd love to hear from you :) it's been a long time :)

It's sooo good to hear from you! As always your work is beautiful. I'll check out your blog later. You are one creative lady and I hope your work sells well. You should make some place mats with your designs.

Hey Luthien!!! Long time no see! ha We sure have missed you, but WoW, you have been busy. I love your designs! Those faces are so pretty. Congrats on getting yourself into a shop! That's always a big step. Hope your things sell like hotcakes! We'll be keeping out fingers crossed for you as well. I don't remember what you do for "regular work" but you should be doing something like custom web designs or some kind of design work. You are so talented in so many areas. Keep those creative ideas flowing. You may do even better being "unemployed" than you were before. =) ~Anj

lovely to hear from you all :)) i hope everyone is fine and busy painting :) or still busy spring cleaning ?? yuuuup... this IS sort of a little turning point for me... who knows i may just go into this for good. anj... i organize shows and events but the economy over here has been so bad that companies are kinda cutting down their entertainment budget ( i guess that's just fair... entertainment isn't a priority) anyway... i should be keeping this going for a while and seeing what comes out of it :) just hope that my creative juice doesn't run out so soon!

Your designs are lovely! I knew from your earlier posts that you were an expert painter, but I didn't know you were so creative. I love that you are using the same design in so many different ways. Thanks for sharing.

lol! CC i am trying to do the series thingy... like having diff things with the same design... but i get bored so quickly! i'll have to think of more designs so that i don't just see the suns and the elephants all the time!

B it's nice to see you come up on my dashboard again! your angel look really good :))
