WOW!!! How Awesome!!! Love it! I'm going to do one for my son at some point, so this is really inspiring. I am also going to buy the beetle bit system as soon as I can too!!! Maybe I will ask you to send me a paper template of that great guitar!!heh heh! Did it come with that great front piece? (black)Cool! Looks great already! It sure helps when you've got a great substrate to start with!

Jane I made two templates!!!! It did come with the black pick guard too which is just so cool!!!! Im still trying to decide if that should just stay black or if I should mosaic it too!!!

Crackpotannie-just got it today. It really is easy to use but make sure you get the flying beetle cutter with it, thats really what makes it so easy. It slides on the bar when you make your cuts so you can lean accidently from side to side thus making your cuts not break correctly.

Here is my progress for today. I wanted to put the diamonds pointy side out but it just wouldn't flow. So I compromised and went this route! Nothing is set in stone on this yet so things might change up as I discover new prettier was to do whatever!!!!

Looking nice! Are you placing the pieces on the pattern, and then you will lay each piece on the guitar? Ohh a lot of work.

The pattern came out of a book of paisley designs I bought off amazon. I just couldnt find any that I liked anywhere else.

Sirius- I am putting the pieces down and then will trace the pattern onto the guitar...once Im sure of how its going to go I will start gluing it down. I still need to prep the mdf board. I have all of the orange triangles done now and will start on the little squares. The arent really square either so there will be a lot of grinding involved!!!

Oh, how pretty is THAT! This paisley looks Indian to me. India/Pakistan have wonderful paisley designs. You're doing a fabulous job w/this. A fun piece to watch.
