Hi all, thanks for the help. Crystal, I was in a Michaels today and found one for $6.99. I bought it! My husband said that was probably cheaper than what he could make it for. It is a light weight wood, but I prepped it with deluted weldbond (two coats) tonight. Will try and start applying the stained glass and tiles tomorrow.

My husband chuckled when he first saw a butterfly house. His comments were, "How in the heck to they get in there? There is no peg for them to rest on...Do they stop, fold their wings together and glide in?...
