You know when you're a mosaic addict when you...

stop to pick up broken pieces of colored glass in the parking lot cuz they are just the right size for the project you're working on.

Not only broken pieces of colored glass, CAIT - ANYTHING on the street or in a parking lot that can be glued down I pick up.

I guess I'm not quite there yet -- I drove past some crash glass -- the real thing, lying in the street waiting for me to pick up. It was a fairly busy intersection and it wasn't that much.

To day we took a load of stuff to the dump.(free dumpingthis week)any way found some neat glass it was broken up already.It was brown and was bumpy on top 1/8 " deep I had to pick it up .

buy a gorgeous hand painted Limoge platter on ebay and happily smash it to bits.

Well I haven't actually smashed it yet but I always get addicted to things very fast and I do have a hammer. lol

I did remember that I have a picture of my first mosaic project I did several years ago. This is the only mosaic project I did then I started getting back into it a few weeks ago.

My top 5 reasons You know you are addicted...
5. When you don't smell the silicone anymore

4. When the ladies at the thrift store saves you broken dishes!

3. When you serve your family canned soup and sandwiches again so you can get another hour of mosaicing in.

2. When you get excited when your family breaks one of your collectable dishes!!!!!

And my #1 reason...... When you seriously consider mosaicing your car

Thanks slowmedown, for the encouragement. I started a birdbath yesterday but it's not grouted yet. It's in my sunroom waiting for a warm day to be finished.

You KNOW you are a mosaic addict when: You start glueing stuff while you wait for you coffeee to brew in the morning, and by 11am, you're still glueing...in your pjs...and the coffee is the only thing you've consumed, and it was mostly cold!!!!

Oh, CAROL - I LOVE your style!!! So great to have you join us. You're GOOD, girlie. CALAM - it was the same when I was painting in oil. I got up one morning to just put a few strokes on a lemon in my stillife. My DH called out if I wanted coffee - I said "yeah, I'm coming". Next I heard was him saying "you wanna have lunch w/me?" I was shocked and said "haven't had breakfast yet". It was 2:00 in the afternoon and I had lost all that time and didn't realize it. Need I say my addictions are strong.
