I finally manged to get this done and take a picture of it. It is a glass on glass, I used an old candle holder from a ts and cut out the centre grid and candle holders just leaving the framework. I had a piece of glass cut to fit and then added my glass on glass bits and attached it to the frame. I used some of the oceana scrap glass I had bought on ebay. The red half circle I just couldn't bring myself to cut up so just featured it whole. I've taken a picture of this outside with the sun shining through and in front of the fireplace. It glows beautifully when the fire is on. There's also a picture of the unit in front of the fireplace. I used marine silicone to adhere this, and used magnolia grout, the same as I had used for the fireplace,

That is so pretty. I just love that Oceana glass. I wish I could use it all the time.

BEAUTIFUL!!! I wouldn't have wanted to cut that big of a piece of Oceana, either! What a great idea...

Beautiful....it looks so different in the sunlight as opposed to just in front of the fire place. It's like you have two pieces in one...gorgeous!

That is lucious! Wow! Always impressed with how things are cut to fit...then fitting it right in where it is suppose to fit........and it fits.........What a great combination of glass! Love the oceania...(love what you gave *us* and haven't shared with Janice yet...okay, you know I will) Beautiful...just beautiful!!!!!

Well, CINDY, if you don't beat all!! I couldn't understand the candle holder part, but think I'm getting it. You REALLY had an eye for it's possibilities. That's the prettiest fireplace screen I've EVER seen. Your placement of the tesserae is just plain magnificent (sp??). This is truly a beautiful work of art. Are the square tiles like the ones y'all put in my care pkg? This whole concept is superior plus.

I'm glad you all like this. That large piece of glass has a smooth rounded edge. It's just so cool. The squares are from some glass Janie-bo and I got from a man selling off glass and supplies. I got several different pieces, it has little bubbles and a bit of a pattern to it. I actually meant for this to have the half circle on the bottom, duhhh when I attached the glass to the frame I never noticed it was upside down.I finally noticed when I put it in front of the fireplace. Oh well, it still looks fine so it's staying the way it is.

Prettiest fire screen I've ever seen,just gorgeous bet it's beautiful with the fire behind it.
