Ideas for Next Exchange

I know everyone is working hard on the other contests but until we are ready to do another exchange, we can brainstorm ideas. So let's run a thread of them. Then the person who is organizing, can be the one to choose.

Ideas:

piggy banks

flower pot

crosses

shoes/boot

mirrors

picture frames

watering cans

coasters

(piggy banks might be my favorite)

Or go with themes:

color wheel

water

fire

movement

inspiration

spirituality

Others? Come on - put on your thinking caps!

I've always wanted a shoe exchange but the piggy bank sounds like a c@@l idea. 'Cause it doesn't have to be a "piggy" bank right? It could be an object turned into a bank such as a treasure box or a birdhouse or lidded basket or glass jar/bottle, even a clear block for those of you that can drill into them!

I am liking this idea even better! Never thought of it like that! A treasure chest!
A glass block! A lidded basket...these are great ideas!

ROFL @ Nice !!!!!!!!!!! ( I can see your cat running and hiding already ! LOL )

I LOVE the cocktails idea ... That would include ,bottles, glasses , party favors, Hordourves - (however it's spelled ) - little snack thingees .... the ideas can really be expanded on ! That would be a definite surprise not knowing "what part" of a cocktail theme your exchange will be ! I vote for that !

    PINK ELEPHANTS !!!!!!!!! ROFL ...

Oh how funny - yesterday my son's friend asked if I would mosaic a piggy bank for his sister's birthday. I had never even considered it until I saw someone mention piggy bank here.

I told him to bring me a piggy bank from the thrift store and I'd do it for him.

I still vote for the cocktail party theme...someone could do a pink elephant piggy bank..

I Haven't seen an actual piggy bank for years ! I doubt if I could find one - not even at the Goodwill !

TMG Michael's has them in the glass paint area.

I vote for a piggy bank....

A square tissue box could be made into a piggy bank.

BTW...Why is it called a Piggy bank? Can't believe everything you read but here's one. - "In Middle English, "pygg" referred to a type of clay used for making various household objects such as jars. People often saved money in kitchen pots and jars made of pygg, called "pygg jars". By the 18th Century, the spelling of "pygg" had changed and the term "pygg jar" had evolved to "pig bank."

** I still vote for the "Friday night delight !"
    *wink*

    Cocktails !

    LOL

Oh, sure you can buy a piggy bank. Hobby Lobby has piggy banks in their ceramic department. Dollar General always has tons of piggy banks but some are shaped like a purse or shoe. Hobby Lobby also has wooden treasure chest boxes. The possibilities are endless!
