Well you l'il heifer! You DID it - that light switch is WONDERFUL, and sooooooooooo goes w/your valance. The plate is just beautiful. You REALLY know how to capture flowers in you work. I've never tried, but studying your rose inspires me to. What glass did you use for the leaves. Is the rose pink Van Gogh? AND where did you find purple glass for the Iris? BEAUTIFUL work, CINDI:

WOW Cindyloo!! I LOVE that lightswitch plate. It looks PERFECT with the valance and very classy too. Did you cut the rose yourself?? That is great. I'd need a lot more practice to do that. That glass is great too!! What kind ? it looks like fabric!!! Really great.

And those plates!!! Too cool!! How did you do this?? Just mosaic glass onto glass? and then grout?? or is there an inset that you mosaiced???

GIBSONA: The sparkly grout came from adding Pledge floor wax with Future shine to it after the grout sealer had dried. Just poured a little on and gently swirled it til all the grout was covered. Learned earlier to NOT touch, or brush, or blot off the wax from SG...just gently blow if any bubbles.

Thank you, SLOW! The glass on the switch plate is all van gogh. The purple glass for the iris came in a glass pack I got on ebay. It's always fun to open it when it comes and see what colors I got! Do you have the "Mosaic Artist's Bible" by Teresa Mills? That's where I learned how to cut the rose! Lots of other flowers in there, too!

DAISY: Thanks! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the background and grout on the iris plate! I'm always pleasantly surprised when something turns out the way I pictured it in my head!

MERMAID: Thanks you for all the compliments! The glass on the switch plate is van gogh. I just glued the SG right on to the glass plate with weldbond and then grouted,(finally learning, the hard way, to mask off the rim and back!) I did get a little grout bleed on the back, but since it sits in a plate holder thingy, I can live with it. I am waiting for some MAC glue that I ordered to do GOG's with. That's suppose to be the best and as I understand it, if you butter each piece all over and to the edge, you won't get grout bleed.
