Thanks Kathy and Maria. I'm glad to hear it's the server and not my computer. I was starting to get irritated. Now I'll work on just being patient!

PS On the side that has all the glass blobs, I think I'm going to just grout the stained glass and not around the blobs. That's my plan anyway. I've never grouted anything with the blobs before.

Very pretty, LADY, and very unique. On grouting the blobs, they are very easy to clean up, I just make the grout on the dry side, smoosh it in w/a sponge, then let it dry about an hr, take a brush to brush it away from the blobs.

You are doing a wonderful job on it Veronica. I love the colors.

I'd love to see the paisleys wrap around the corners. That's always a good transition on hard cornered pieces.

Ladyronnie, I love your TP tower! Your paisley's are beautiful. I really like your colors and design. I have often thought about not grouting around the blobs but I always end up doing it and had good success too.

ladyronnie - beautiful design! Love your use of the "globs". I'm with SLOW and D3BBI....I grout mine, too...similar to the way slow does it...grout on the dry side (but I apply with my gloved hand, not a sponge), and haven't had any problems. I make sure the grout doesn't come up too high on them - and I do this during the "smooshing" phase. And I see that you do what I do, and have the globs touching each other....I think that gets the best result, too! Wonderful job!

Really pretty. Love your use of the different colors and shapes of globs with the check effect. I saw those oblong blobs and couldn't think outside of my round ones. Nice to see them used so effectively.

Ok, I PLAN TO GROUT THE BLOB-GLOBS! LOL Looks like it's unanimous (sp?)! I've been working on the paisley. I am SO SLOW! (Unlike SLOW, who is SO FAST!!! :) I took mosaicwench's advice and wrapped it around the corner. I like how it turned out on the mirror-and-red piece especially. DIYTRYING: The dark "oblongs" are actually halved flat marbles. The clear ones are truly oblongs. Here's an update:

Wow Very nice and I do like the paisley wrapped around the corner. Solved what you were going to do on the front too.I do not think you are so slow.

I think I am going to cheat on my TP holder and put a mirror on the whole front.

I was so freaked on grouting all the glass globs on my table and honestly it was not all that bad. I have had worse things to grout.

My real big question for you is the mirrors. I have little round mirrors on the top of my table and I painstakenly cut round circles to fit the mirrors out of contact paper and covered all of them before grouting. I had concerns about scratching the mirrors. Since I could not get in here to ask I played it safe. So is it necessairy to do this or if a person is careful with the grout can you keep it from scratching the mirrors? I used sanded grout.

I have had sanded grout remove the gold from the edges of plates if I pushed on it too hard in aplying and wiping up.

CHRIS: I don't even think about grouting over mirror. On my bathroom vanity I had quite a bit of mirror, never even occurred to me it might scratch. The outside is just glass like the rest of it. But I DON'T use sanded grout, so that might make a difference. I don't think the sand is necessary unless your grout lines are 1/4" or bigger, and overall mine aren't except occasionally, and I don't worry about those either. On this project the trick will be to grout and still be able to open the door. I am keeping an eye on my glass placement and opening the door periodically to be sure it still opens.

Ok lovesponge....I use mirror in my mosaics all the time! I have never scratched them and I'm not really that careful when I grout. Globs are really easy to work with, don't be afraid. I've always used sanded grout.
You wip is looking really great! Keep us posted.

Love how you wrapped the paisly around!!

On my veggie bin, I did what you're doing by the hinge, just kept making sure I could open it. I put a Very thin layer of grout on the side that didn't move ( I had those oblong blobs) and a thin line of blue paint on the side that opened. Worked out fine.
