It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but I didn't get it to her until Feb.!! LOL. all those color changes did it.

That is one of my first projects. I just started six months ago . Here is my really first one. I didn't have a clue what i was doing, i found some grout in the garage and just mixed it together, and slapped it on.. Didn't know about cutting tiles etc..

Its MDF board. I bought it already cut to shape from one of mosaic websites. . I know mosaic mercantile plus quite a few other sites, have various shapes, but i am brain dead.

I sure wish I knew how to cut them myself. I'd probably cut my hand off. LOL. Actually I am ready to buy another one, either a seahorse or sea turtle, for our bathroom.

Well, MERMAID: You surely don't look like a beginner from those projects, and CINDILOO - your first looks a hundred times better than my first, so don't knock it. MER: Your butterfly is just beautiful - your choice of colors is VERY nice, and I could tell what the lettering was immediately. LOVE your window/mirror too. Doing great, keep it up. Isn't it fun - AND ADDICTING?

It was so funny how I got into this and yes it is ADDICTING Slow. I am hooked!! There is so much to mosaic and not enough time to do it all!!!

When I was having fun ordering tiles for our pool bathroom, I fell in love with the tiles, and saw I could order a bag of loose tiles. I went ahead and ordered along with boxes and boxes of sheets of mosaic tiles , I am going to post a pix in a different thread to what got me started.
