Delphi have the Titan on sale, made by the Taurus people [Gemini Saws] with tougher stuff in mind like ceramics and annealed glass.

After reading about Gryphon, I would have that over my Taurus II.2 anyday...

After looking, I'd have to sell a BUNCH of birdhouses to afford one. (sigh) Off to Craigslist to search around!

I own the Titan, it does not do the the intricate cuts that the Tarus does. (Both by the Gemini saw company.) The Titan is meant for heavier duty applications. The blade on it only cuts forwards & backwards, unlike the blade on the Tarus that cuts any direction. I bought it to cut bottles and pattern bars (think thick slabs of fused glass). I also have the Omni wire saw from Gryphon, I bought it just before they came out with their own version of the ring saw. I like the Omni, but if I had known they were about to come out with the ring saw I would've probably have gotten that instead.

Check out the local stained glass/fusing shops in your area. If they do classes (most of them do) they probably have one of these saws in use. Some places will let you rent time on their machines. That way you can try before you buy or if you only want to cut a few pieces you won't need to buy one.

I just ordered the Gryphon ring saw.......from Delphi.....I hope I like it!
