Very pretty, the plate kind of reminds me of nicethymes heart ringsaw tutorial. It looks as if the plate is a blackish with a hint of green in it? It will look so nice.

I'm itching to use some plates that I just bought..but I'm not quite sure on what. I have honestly never used plates in a mosaic yet...oh I lied, I had a piece (the center medallion) I used on my crash glass tin.....hmmm I have so many TBM projects there has to be something I can use them on.

It's not a plate but a silver tray. I've not decided what color grout.

Really nice!! Looks like the plate edgings are from The Friendly Village set - my mom has it and whenever she breaks one she sends them my way. Looks good!

May I ask what king of glue you are using? I just see a bit of white there under the pieces and am wondering...

OH LIL: That is REALLY beautiful, and your work is soooooo neat. I love that arrangement. Your nipped pieces are so uniform. Very good work.

I used weldbond. The white and green outer edge is glass. My pieces aren't uniform and neat like most here but nipping is all I can do, still can't cut glass in a straight line.

PLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASE! Quit that knocking your work. Like ANS said in her thread - irregular makes interesting. I TOTALLY agree w/that. IMHO perfection isn't always good, especially in mosaics. It's handmade art, and, to me, the beauty is in the irregularities, how one arranges the colors, varies the tesserae, etc., not how perfect the cuts are.

Sorry lil I ment the plate on the tray is pretty!!!! The whole thing will be nice when done.
