WOW Barb, that is beautiful. I'm in florida too, where are you??

What kind of glass is in the palm trees bark? And I love the yellow glass and the egrets everything. It really sparkles and looks like a painting.

I would love to try something like that but can't get enough nerve. What kind of glue are you using?? And did you have this planned out ahead of time, or did you let the glass tell you?? I am always curious of how these beautiful pieces of art come about

I know questions questions. I'm in Melbourne by the way

the glass that looks yellow is semitransparent greens. my flash messes with the color.i love nature scenes and took several patterns and put them together for this. i tend to hoard green and earth tone glass for my mosaics just waiting for the right place. im in zephyrhills Mermaid - you down by miami??......barb

Well, I really love your newest tropical work. It's beautiful. I especially love the way you do egret feathers with those elongated pieces. I also went to see your other photos and enjoyed the tour of another real artist's work! Wowwee! I especially love the sink with the purple flowers and the fish, and the sunburst, and and and....! What fun to see these. Great work!

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Love the backlit version. Looks like a sunset scene.
Did you nip all the glass or is a nip/saw combo? I am so wanting to try gog. You inspire me.

only use a wheeled nipper to cut my glass. have a grinder to smooth rough edges and refine the shape if i need to.trying to keep things simple....barb

I was so anxious to see this piece finished, then went AWOL, and nearly missed it. I'll never get caught up on reading the forum. I so wish I could "paint" w/glass as you've done in this project. This is truly a wonderful work of art, B1. You're very talented. Did you ever paint on canvas?
