Need WIP help

I started this piece some time ago and would like to finish it soon. The problem I'm having is finding stuff that I want to use on it that is the thickness as what I've used already. I wanted to use some stained glass, but found that it is not thick enough. I've tried piling the GEII up, but that doesn't work real well. I've tried double layering the glass but that's to thick. What can I use to raise it to the same thickness? This was another curbside find that I love using with a short fat candle inside.

I don't want any sharp edges above the grout. If you have any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Be Safe, Rach
