NICE: I just buttered it on each piece, trying to keep it not so messy as I was working on it at my desk at work.
MERMAID: I did use a seperate grout. The thinset I bought last fall is white and I mean bright white! So, I just tried to keep it from seeping out around the tessarre and then just grouted with gray grout.

What a pretty box, and a really good job of mosaicing, CINDI. I use thinset a lot - it's a wonderful adhesive - holds instantly and no sliding, even on some heavy tiles.
