OMG I LOOOOOOOVE the bin!!!! wow

I just wanted to say that... I have no clue on grout colors, what about ivory for the mirror? Oh I love that bin!

What NT said. WOW - you're working on more than I could handle at one time. LOVE that bin - not - I LOVE IT ALL. Charcoal is my new favorite grout.

Wow!! Shrty, that bin is sooo pretty! I love everything about it. You find some of the greatest stuff to add on.

Shrty, I love it all. I'm impressed that you knew to recycle that mirror that has so much meaning. The mushroom is dazzling and the vegetable bin is beautiful! I love those bins.

Slow, why is charcoal your new favorite color? I was surprised when you chose it for your bathroom counter over black. Just wanting to know how great minds think. : )

D3- Gray shows off ALL colors well, letting the colors shine instead of grout. While I LOVE black for most things, it blacks out dark colors too much. For my bathroom, I wanted the darks to show - dark green of the vine and the purple mirror tiles, which look black. Great minds??? You like charcoal also? What is your favorite color grout?

NICETHYME- Its a backasswards way to keep me motivated.LOL. I started the bin, then the weather got nice, so I've been concentrating on the yard and outside stuff. Yesterday was COLD and rainy and I did some on it. The mushroom in the 3rd I wanted to do. The first were quick, but this is tedious and geting on my nerves, so I thought I'd do the mirror for something quick. Now, I have to fix up the grout so.... Anyway at this point I want to get them ALL done and start something new!! Strange logic, I know.

HAZIE- I wish you'd get your groove back, too! I miss your beautiful work!Have you tried something small?

KATE- on the blue on the top, the round thing with the berries was a decorative mold. In front, I took a small blue bowl, cut it in half and piled on blue half marbles. The bottom handle I cut off a cup.
On the green one, the thing on top is a suncatcher I picked up at a TS last year. The front is a small plaque with raspberries. The round things an the sides are center of plates. All TS finds.

Motivation - me - turn it off. Was happily sitting on my patio after shower/shampoo and sooooooo tired I could hardly BREATH, and was looking at a concret block I stuck near the fountain w/an empty plastic pot on top waiting for me to take time to plant an Impatient that ROSIE gave me, and had to come inside to keep myself from grabbing the concrete block, taking it to the workshop and start glueing on shards. I'm going to stack two/three blocks, mosaic the fronts, fill the holes on the sides w/soil, plant Impatiens in the holes on the sides, spray paint the plastic pot w/Krylon and plant the biggy Impatient. Motivation! Turn it OFF or give me another lifetime. Wish I didn't have to sleep.

Oh, Slow can't wait to see the finished blocks.

Slow, I have been using a LOT of blue and turquoise grouts because I have been doing a lot of sea/ocean scenes. I have used black twice and have a hard time adjusting to it. My DH loves it. I think I will try charcoal soon after you explained why it would look good. Thanks!

Hey, Maria, just saw this thread. I REALLY like the bins! We have a commercial berry farm, and grow both raspberries and blueberries here (as well as strawberries, blackberries, and a bunch of vegetable crops)so those bins really appeal to me. I like the mirror also, would like to do one some day. Nice work!

Thanks Veronica! I was trying for a fruit/ veggie theme, but it seemed the fruit was easier to find.

MAD- you are SO right. I put some blobs on yesterday and it looked like my mushroom had the pox LOL!! I pried them all off today ( all I had time for, I got hijacked to help at the school this morning).

Since your garage sale ended, you have been a busy beaver! You have gotta love being able to work in your garage again and not have to clean up your mess when you finish for the day.

I love your mushrooms and mirror, but I really, really love your bins, especially the green one!
We will have to set up a day to go to that tile store you mentioned.
