This is very pretty! Many props! It appears to look alot like what I have had in mind for glass mosaic projects. Only I am trying to find if there is other choices for grout other than black or blue. Is there such a thing as clear? Or am I off my rocker to think such a thing?

Has black been mentioned? Is there any other color? BTW - it's another Janey wonderful!

GOOD QUESTION cr84fun. If some here have used GEII black as "grout" then there's no reason you can't use GEII clear as "grout". The only problem is if it's going outside, will it last? What about mold? But for indoors it's a good possibility.

I agree, that would look great lit.
I vote black...it looks very stained-glass-windowy to me.

WOW! It's beautiful already... and will be VERY, VERY eye-catching grouted and lighted! I'm not knowledgable enough to comment on the grout...but can't wait to see the finished product!

I'm using VERY SMALL pieces on my 3 rd mushroom to get the curves. Getting a little tedious.

This project was inspired last year by Slow's beautiful column she made for her DD. I went out and bought this acrylic wine stand/cooler for $2 and a plastic light globe for $2. And because it is clear I came up with, why not light it up from inside?!!! Literally, a light bulb moment LOL! I wanted to add swirly and other stuff but I just gotta be me and do it this way, it looks a lot like this window I have hanging outside my kitchen...

WOW! Calamity, I love that! Love all those flowers, what a beautiful job! I don't quite get the "acrylic wine stand, cooler thingy" what is it, and where did you get it? It makes a great column!

I absolutely LOVE your squared flower petals, and try to make them, but they never look like yours. Do you score first or just nip away? Don't ever try to change - your style is YOU, and it's BEAUTIFUL. Love both the window and this tower. Your explanation sorta puts it into perspective, somewhat. It looks a lot larger than your description - the wine cooler obviously must be a little larger/taler than a wine bottle, but it looks so much larger. Great idea to put the two together. What a great patio light for a party or evenings w/a lemonade.

This is a pic of the wine cooler stand, it's upside down in this pic but it goes beside your chair and you fill it with ice and set your bottle in to keep cool, and the flowers are just nipped at an angle like you'd make a triangle except with a wider nip at one end? Bad at explanations...I envy people who cut them to look so perfect and oblong, but alas, I'm waaaay too impatient, at least right now. oh, so black it will be!!

I love the word "depth" in art projects....

and that's just what the black will do, to the white petals of the flowers and to brighten up all the others..it's gonna be spectacular.

and love the planted boots. one of my favorite things in any garden!

Done with all the gluing and will proceed directly to grouting said item...Dh did this and other bad things to his set of cookwear, only one left now outta 4!!! He kills me!!! I prefer my ss cookwear!

Deb: It will be lit at night with a outdoor accent light!! Well, this is my Slow Inspired column and globe!!! It's taken about a year to get it done since I first saw hers but it is another "tick" off the To Do List!!! Can hardly wait for it to get dark so I can set it up and have it lit!!!

Yeah, What Nice said!!! I woulda never imagined doing this if it wasn't for "The Fastest Mosaicer In Texas" and Her awesome column!!! Now onto my "Riana" style dragonfly!!!
And gardening..got 6 beds done, only 8 more left!!! Then I can start on the "down below projects" (1/4 acre of landscaping to do!!)Which will include large 3ft,4ft,5ft high mushrooms, also Riana method....

JANEY BO. Of all the things you've made this one is my favorite. Absolutely outta-sight-beautiful, and so unique. Who woulda thought two pieces of plastic could turn out so beautiful. BAMA, yeah, I know - but that's the way I felt after a day of mosaicing in my bathroom and HATING it, that's right, I almost HATE what I've done to my counter, then sit down here and see a REAL mosaic piece of art. Made me want to rip mine out and quit the business!!!
