I am working with my contractor to pick windows for our addition/renovation. After lurking around the forum for a while, the prices are different from what I was expecting.

Pricing for one new construction 21046 window, 6/6 SDL & screens:

Anderson 400 series $450.00

Anderson 400 wood wright $587.00

Marvin ultimate exterior clad $771.00


Replacement window 6/6 SDL with screens:

Anderson 400 wood wright $853.00

Marvin replacement series $ 927.00

I had thought that the wood wrights and ultimates would be in the same ballpark, but is it not even close.

The window sales office said that wood wrights and ultimates should be roughly the same. My wife said we would go with Marvins while we where there (she liked them a lot). It feels a little like a gouge. I had wanted to find a place we trusted to purchase a bunch of items and this does not feel like a step in the right direction. Am I missing something? Being unreasonable?

I am located in eastern MA. Project will have a total of approx 30+ windows.
