Y'all make me smile w/your nice compliments - thank y'all. NT - it's terra cotta. SHELLY - I got it from Marshall Pottery - a pottery shop about 1 1/2 hrs. from where I live in East TX. RCHOVEY: Force yourself to start, and once you get into this hobby, you'll have to FORCE yourself to do anything else BUT mosaic. JLYNN: Guess I'm the stupid one cuz I don't know what a Jedi Master is. I'm off to visit my Mo/Bro today - she's sick - so I'll not finish Lily for several days. I'm taking a concrete frog and lots of stuff w/me to make for her while I'm there so I won't go into withdrawals. W/so much rain, I don't have to worry about watering my posies for the rest of the week, so the Jeep full of mosaic stuff is pointed toward Louisiana today.

Slow, love that cute frog! I'm dying to do one for my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter because she loves to catch them in their yard. But she lives so far away, it would be prohibitive to mail it to her. Will have to wait for a visit so we can do it together.

*shaking my head* reminding myself not to type while asleep, okay or almost asleep. sorry slow i'm not even sure my message actually makes sense to me really. i was thinking about the star wars movies at least i think that is what they were and the ones that needed to learn how to be good or to be jedi's went to the Masters....god that was a long explaination for something that was so not worth it...so i'll just make sure to stop typing before loosing my mind next time...again it was a compliment...

Well thanks a bunch, y'all. I sealed the grout today cuz I didn't like the look of flat gray mortar - looks better. Boy, I worked today - enlarged a flowerbed. Getting ready to mortar some column pieces together, made from some kind of composite materials. My HM cut the pieces off when he was putting larger columns on the front of his house, so I had seven pieces. Used two to lift Gypsie Woman, and these five w/be a nice tower for a garden plant stand. At this point I'm thinking I'll paint them on the order of Little and Lewis's columns instead of mosaicing. The tower w/be a little over three ft. tall and nine inches diameter. If CALAM doesn't mind my copying her booby flower, I might try to make a concrete sphere and make a flower thingy for it. Amazing how a new dig (oh the thrill of a new dig!) in the Queendom brought new inspiration. Too tired to begin it now and DD is coming tomorrow for the weekend, so .....

well I hope you have a great weekend with your DD mines sitting in the floor sorting glass for me it finally came this afternoon so after dinner she and I are going to work on some designs for a few stepping stones and tommarrow im going yard saling for dishes to put in with the glass for her table in her room and tommarrow is her last day of summer school so she is very happy for that now she can stay home and help me with my summer projects I am planning I just hope she passed that darned test this time. the only reason she had to take summer school was because she didnt pass her state standardized test in reading her grades were fine but they said they cant pass her til she passes it soooo now we are waiting on the results Im keeping my fingers crossed she has worked so hard for this and I know she would be devastated if she failed it again.
